Our Values
THE BIBLE AND THE GOSPEL
We believe in the Bible as the inspired Word of God, the only sufficient, certain, and authoritative rule of all saving knowledge, faith, and obedience. The Gospel of Jesus Christ that changes everything. In this we focus everything we believe and make this a fundamental truth to live with integrity, humility and excellence to Glorify God.
"All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness" (2 Tim.3: 16)

PREACHING THE GOSPEL & DISCIPLE MAKING
The gospel is the "Good News from God" a message of Reconciliation through which the people are reconciled to God, and it is the means by which they grow in godliness. Every person is not changed by culture; instead, culture is changed by people who have been transformed by the power of the gospel. In Epistle to the Romans the Apostle Paul is very clear that the gospel alone “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, ”
(Romans 1:16); and in the book of Acts the apostle Peter declared, "And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” (Christ) (Acts 4:12).
As the apostle Paul made a conscious choice not to display his knowledge about anything at all except for Jesus Christ, His Crucifixion and Resurrection, as he declared in the epistle to the Corinthians "And I, when I came to you, brothers, did not come proclaiming to you the testimony of God with lofty speech or wisdom. For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. And I was with you in weakness and in fear and much trembling, and my speech and my message were not in plausible words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, so that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God." (1 Co. 2:2-5)
The apostle Paul wanted to be focused on a simple, culturally radical mission:
"to deliver Christ's message to them which is The Gospel". At OIKOS, we have these trues as our values and convictions.
Making disciples is a commandment of our Lord Jesus Christ and is the heart of the Great Commission (Matthew 28: 18-20) Disciples who share the gospel socially, personally, and professionally.
We plant churches whose hearts have a commitment and a strategy to make disciples.

EQUIPPING SERVANTS FOR LEADERSHIP
The future of the church is in the promise that the Lord Jesus left us in Matthew 16:18, however God wants to use servants who serve as leaders to be part of the edification of the Church. For this we will be an agent that provides the necessary resources to accomplish this task.
We serve and work to equip the servants who will guide us tomorrow through equipping, mentoring and training Christ-centered in the Gospel and in the Word of God which is theological training, referring and helping financially to all those who wish to be trained and equipped through Centros Teologicos Bautistas (Baptist Theological Centers) taking as our foundation to develop like in 2 Tim. 3: 16-17 - Ephesians 4:11-12.

KINGDOM WORKERS SUPPORT
There are countless native missionaries in different places in the world who are serving faithfully where God has sent them, but oftentimes they are greatly hindered by the lack of financial and/or ministry resources. Most of these native missionaries buy food for their families with the income that they have earned that day, and also have little or no support from the churches. For that reason they are investing a large portion of their time and strength to work outside of the ministry in order to support their families. As a result of that, is a painful pastoral ministry limited time for their family, studying, shepherding, and evangelizing.
OIKOS is not a missionary agency. It is a ministry that belongs to the body of Christ (under the oversight of the local church), in the same way like the Philippians entered into a financial partnership with the Apostle Paul's ministry in giving and receiving (Philippians 4:15), OIKOS is the bridge to make it posible with the servants of the Kingdom of God.
OIKOS not being a missionary agency doesn't have a policy of home-based administrative fees or for local administrative fees.
At OIKOS, we have a board that has accountability of the finances we receive. These donations will be designated to the support of native missionaries so that they might dedicate themselves full-time to their ministries. We believe that an important part of our ministry and the Great Commission is to provide these native missionaries with the support they need in order to live with dignity and simplicity among their people. OIKOS is following as a ministry pattern what is recorded in God’s word:
"In the same way, the Lord commanded that those who proclaim the gospel should get their living by the gospel."
1 Corinthians 9:14
“Beloved, you are acting faithfully in whatever you accomplish for the brethren, and especially when they are strangers; and they have testified to your love before the church. You will do well to send them on their way in a manner worthy of God. For they went out for the sake of the Name, accepting nothing from the Gentiles. Therefore we ought to support such men, so that we may be fellow workers with the truth.” 3 John 1:5-8

MULTIPLICATION
The transformation of communities in different contexts will require the planting of different and diverse churches. In the same way that the Word of God requires us to be witnesses locally, nationally and internationally. (Acts 1:8)
We work to plant churches Christ-centered and in the Gospel, obedient to the Great Commission that commits to planting churches according to their context and culture based on being ONE, one people in Christ (Ephesians 2:13-22)

FELLOW WORKERS IN THE KINGDOM
Each Local Church is a body and each believer is a member in the Kingdom of God, who must participate in the expansion of the Gospel in four fundamental areas:
GO, PRAY, GIVE and SEND. We must all be part of it.
Having this principle we serve the Local Church creating initiatives like ESL for immigrants and Jail ministry for Hispanics in order to serve the community and reach the lost, in this way the body of Christ becomes a fellow worker in the expansion of the Kingdom of God (Romans 12: 4-9).
